How can you be cre-8-tive today?

To be creative doesn't mean coming up with some huge exciting project. It's the little things that we do everyday for friends and family that show real creativity. How about making your kids or significant other Micky Mouse pancakes? It's easy. I just make a regular size pancake and then 2 smaller ones for the ears that touch the larger one. My daughter likes just chocolate chips for the eyes, nose and mouth. My son on the other hand like chocolate chips for the eyes, but then prefers whipcream for the nose and mouth. It puts a smile on their faces in the morning and cuts down on the getting ready for school crabbies! Who would think such a small act could mean so much?

Easter Gift Ideas

Well It's April first and I am thinking about Easter and everything related to it.
I have been looking for new and interesting ways to color eggs. I came across instructions on how to make dyes using vegetables and spices. All natural!

Another great gift idea to present the host or hostess of Sunday brunch is an edible flower fruit bouquet.

Here is a fun interview with a very talented Pysanky Egg artist. Her eggs are so beautiful they deserve to be displayed all year long! You can also read more about this Ukranian Art form here!

Happy April Fools Day!

Make it stop already mother nature! We are only a few weeks away from Easter and I have started to think about little homemade gifts I can make for my kids and other family members we will see on Easter Sunday. I made some homemade Easter bakets with my kids last year using a plastic gallon milk jug. They loved it! When they searched for their baskets on Easter Sunday they knew exactly what they were looking for. They had so much fun!Go to http://www.the-best-homemade-gift-ideas.com/gallon-milk-jug.html for instructions.
